Where have all our ballet books been?

Why at ballet storytime, of course!

On January 2, 30 young dancers joined us for a special ballet storytime, where they did a ballerina craft,

read ballet books, including I am a Ballerina, Brontorina, Angelina Ballerina, and My Ballet Class,

and best of all, had a special visit from Julia, a dancer with the Boston Ballet School!  She showed us how to stand in the five ballet positions, and how to stretch and twirl!

Snowman Workshop

Another successful snowman workshop was held yesterday in the Wakelin Room; stop by the children's room to see the results!

Giant Flower Craft!

 

 

Create Giant Flowers to decorate the Children’s Room and Dig into Summer Reading at the Wellesley Free Library! Families with children of all ages are invited to drop-in to the Wakelin Room on Tuesday, July 2nd any time between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to create paper flowers big and small. All supplies will be provided. We will use these flowers to decorate the windows of the Children’s Room during the summer. This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Wellesley Free Libraries.

 

Decorating book bags at the WFL!

Kids unleashed their creativity at our two-day book decorating workshop, part of our summer reading kickoff week at the Wellesley Free Library!

Preparing for Mother's Day!

We listened to stories about Mother's Day and made gorgeous sparkly cards at our Friday story and craft for ages 2-5 this morning!

Our annual snowman workshop was well-attended today; the fabulous results are on display on the children's room!

Join Us For Sunday Story Times!

Please join us in the children's room at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 18th for our Sunday Story Time! Families with children ages 4-6 will enjoy stories and a craft or activity. No registration is required for this program.

Guinea Pig Craft on Friday, 9/16 at 10:30 a.m.

Come to the main branch on Friday at 10:30 and make your own guinea pig on a string! Stories and Craft with Lee requires no pre-registration and is recommended for children ages 2-5.
